WELCOME!
Epiphany Episcopal Church warmly welcomes all who seek God’s presence in their lives to our services, programs, and ministries.
Belief -- We believe that God seeks to be reconciled with all people. We believe this has always been the case. For those of us whose background is Christianity, we believe this reconciliation has most effectively been accomplished through the life, suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ; and it continues today in the work of Jesus’ followers as equipped by the Holy Spirit, Scripture, the tradition of the church, and our God-given reason.
While these beliefs are important for us, we don’t agree on all things, and there is room within the church for our various opinions. In all things we strive to love all people as we love ourselves. Thus we welcome all who want to join us on this spiritual journey of growth and reconciliation.
Worship -- Our primary worship is on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am. This service, called the Holy Eucharist, includes music, Scripture, teaching, prayers for the community, and Holy Communion. We stand up, sit down, and kneel at various points during the service, as we are able.
Holy Communion -- is a celebration of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, by which we are reconciled to God. The outward and visible sign of this Communion is the bread and wine, which is made holy by the Holy Spirit. Everyone who is a baptized Christian is invited to receive Communion for nourishment and strengthening – individually and communally.
What do I wear? -- Come as you are…You find suits and ties, a lot of jeans, and everything in between.
Children -- Children are welcome. We do not have childcare. We want children in the service; if they are wiggly, that’s okay. We love having them with us.
Parking -- We are in a neighborhood. We have no parking lot but there is plenty of street parking.
Fellowship -- Please stay after the service and join us for homemade treats and coffee. In addition, throughout the year the women of the church offer lunch after several Sunday services, as well as at major Christian observances.
